Read counts in context
A recorded scan is an eligible open of the managed redirect URL. Shared links and direct browser visits can also count. Known bots and previews are filtered, but filtering cannot recognise every automated request.
The current private reporting configuration uses counts, grouped time and approximate country, region and city. It adds no device/browser reporting or visitor identifiers. Network location can reflect an ISP or VPN rather than the reader’s location; it is not exact GPS.
Totals and time reports can show a single eligible open. Detailed geographic groups need at least five eligible opens; smaller groups are combined or withheld. Missing or grouped location data does not erase those opens from the total.
Compare your own campaigns
The Free account starts with 3 active Dynamic QR codes shared across managed links and hosted PDFs, 1,000 tracked scans per month and 30 days of reporting. Tracking pauses at the allowance; active redirects continue.
Free retains 30 days of reporting; Full and Business provide up to 365 days. Reports use calendar ranges and group time according to their selected time zone; retention and allowances can leave a period incomplete.
- Create a managed dynamic QR and give it a clear name.
- Use separate codes or placement labels for print locations you want to compare.
- Open Analytics, choose the QR or campaign and date range, and check the displayed reporting time zone.
- Review the tracked-scan allowance and data availability before comparing periods. Full and Business include CSV export; Free does not.
