QR Yours guide

Custom-domain QR codes with your own branded scan link

Custom-domain QR codes are included in QR Yours Business at US$15 per month, plus applicable taxes shown before payment. Connect up to 5 domains you already own and choose an Active, verified subdomain for a new Dynamic QR code. No separate per-domain subscription fee is charged by QR Yours within that allowance. Domain registration and any DNS-provider charges are separate.

What does a branded QR code link do?

A standard managed QR Yours code contains a q.qryours.com redirect link. With a custom domain, a new code can contain a link on your own subdomain, such as qr.example.com. You can still edit its destination in your account without changing that printed code.

A static QR can already contain your own website address for free. Choose a managed custom-domain QR when you also want to change the destination address after printing and review eligible redirect opens. Branding alone does not require a dynamic code.

QR Yours supplies the managed redirect service, not the domain registration. You need a domain you control and access to its DNS settings. Using your own hostname does not remove QR Yours from the redirect or analytics processing.

How much do QR Yours custom domains cost?

Custom-domain QR codes are included in QR Yours Business at US$15 per month, plus applicable taxes shown before payment. Connect up to 5 domains you already own and choose an Active, verified subdomain for a new Dynamic QR code. No separate per-domain subscription fee is charged by QR Yours within that allowance. Domain registration and any DNS-provider charges are separate.

Business also includes 100 active Dynamic QR codes or hosted PDFs and 150,000 tracked scans per month. Full costs US$10 per month but does not include custom domains. There is no annual subscription in the current catalogue.

Full and Business include expanded analytics and CSV exports, with up to 365 days of totals and trends and up to 90 days of detailed activity and location records. Active redirects continue when the tracked-scan allowance is reached; exceeding the allowance does not make tracking unlimited.

Connect a subdomain and create a branded QR code

  1. Sign in with Business access and open Branded domains in your dashboard. Choose a subdomain you control, such as qr.example.com; avoid replacing your main website or email DNS records.
  2. Enter the subdomain. At your DNS provider, add exactly the CNAME Host/Name and Target/Value shown by QR Yours. Do not copy a sample target from this guide.
  3. Return to the dashboard and check status. The service verifies control of the hostname, sets up HTTPS for supported subdomains and confirms routing. Wait until its status is Active; DNS and certificate checks are not instant.
  4. Select the Active domain when creating a new Dynamic QR. Download it and test the actual link on a phone before printing.

Before using custom QR links on menus, packaging or signs

Choose the hostname before producing your QR artwork. Existing downloaded codes encode their original hostname: connecting a new domain does not change old QR images. Create and print a new code if you want a different scan hostname.

Keep the domain registered and its DNS connected. Custom-domain codes are not eligible for the three Free managed-code slots. Paid-plan cancellation retains eligible access through the paid period; custom-domain QR links may stop when Business access ends. Review your account and plan terms before downgrading or removing a domain.

Scan counts measure eligible link opens, not verified people, camera scans or sales. QR Yours does not currently offer bulk QR creation, a public developer API or multi-user team workspaces. A custom domain does not add those features.
